In the summer semester of 2024, an interdisciplinary study project on "Design in the Urban Context" will be offered in Halle-Neustadt. Students from the fields of Interior Architecture, Information Design, and HBK Saar (Social Design/Public Art) will collaborate on this initiative. The project focuses on topics such as social design, urban furniture design, neighborhood development, mapping, and communication.
The aim is to explore the local needs and design possibilities of the project participants. The goal is to develop site-specific design solutions that emphasize social and communicative aspects. The results will be presented in various formats, including temporary installations, posters, and infographics.
Based on the wishes gathered through prior discussions and workshops, we now aim to partially implement selected ideas.
At Tulpenbrunnen in Halle-Neustadt, we designed our Tulpeninsel with vibrant orange objects—a space that breaks the monotony of everyday life while highlighting the vibrancy of this location. Through playful and creative approaches, we used the area to foster dialogue and collectively explore and experience the Tulpeninsel.
Our conversations touched on everyday topics such as cats, football, internet cafés, evenings off, and the joy of eating together. These seemingly simple interactions led us to a deeper question: What does it mean to have wishes? And what does the process of wishing look like?
The Tulpeninsel invites both observers and participants to take a seat, play, and spend their leisure time here. It is envisioned as a dynamic space that can continue to evolve into a shared environment for experiences and active co-creation in the future.
The objects themselves feature a QR code that links to the accompanying website. This site explains our concept in four languages and provides insight into the process and the outcomes.

Every Tuesday, we visited Tulpenbrunnen with various activities to engage with the local community. Initially, we used low-threshold questions such as "What’s your favorite food?" paired with a tablecloth for painting, to foster playful conversations. Over time, we addressed more specific topics, such as "What would you change if you were in charge of Tulpenbrunnen?"

About myself
Hello, I’m Nina,
I’m pleased to welcome you here! Since 2021, I have been studying Interior Architecture B.A. at the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design in Halle, Germany. I am currently in my 7th semester. My studies have guided me through a variety of different areas – from Building in Existing Structures to Designing New Buildings and Small Architectures, Interior Construction, Spatial Function Theory, Furniture Design, and Social Design. Each of these modules has provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the diverse facets of interior architecture.
During my internship, I had the opportunity to explore the field of sustainable construction in depth. This experience profoundly influenced my mindset and work, sparking my interest in circular building methods and resource-conscious design.
On this website, I present a selection of my projects – from the early stages of my studies to current works that seamlessly combine aesthetics, atmosphere, and sustainability.
I warmly invite you to explore my projects in greater detail.
